Okay, I knew that there was a great deal of Papercraft on
Youtube as I have browsed there many times looking for projects and
information. However, another business
like mine? That was a little harder, but
not too hard. I found Papercraft and
looked for common links or business like names.
I found two fairly quickly, Papercraft museum:
And Papercraft inspirations:

The museum is pretty straight forward, but not very
active. I mean, it looks like something
like my page might look like, at least at first, that is why I listed it here.
The Inspirations site is more home-style Papercraft I call
it; photos, scrap booking, wall art and the like. Not my line of Papercraft but the site looks
well established. Oh, you are going to
love this… I just looked up the basic statistics
for each and the museum is more established, having 1,261
subscribers 872,018 views and joined
Jul 30, 2008 whereas Inspirations has 785 subscribers, 11,429 views and joined Nov 8, 2012.
A good lesson on what appearance can do!
Okay, does visual work?
Stepping beyond what I just discovered above, I discussed in my last blog that Papercraft is
a completely visual art so video and photo are the prime methods of
sharing. I suppose you could have Papercraft
radio, but I don’t think it is going to gain a lot of popularity – ever.
I was actually surprised by these two sites and many
more. I found myself lost is a world of
links to more and more Papercraft! I was
getting out of control…
I am looking forward to opening either a YouTube account or
tumblr and sharing my works. Then again,
when I see what some others are doing, have to share that I was blown away… There are some real detailed works out
there!
Spoiler… I have
always wanted to work for the miniature industry that supplies the movie
industry… WOW, how cool would that
be! Something else that hit me is that I
may not make money out of selling my work, but, I could by links. I hear that many people make some fair side
cash by being a part of the linking world.
It is an option that just occurred to me…
So, which visual site am I going to use? Tumblr.
After all, the opening pages says ‘follow the world’s creators’… :)
As a last note, I have tried to link my tumblr account to FB
without success. When I click the link
to do so a window flies off to the right of my screen and I cannot access it…
Using Firefox fyi… I will look into this
later but for now, I have twitter doves flying around my head!
