Okay, been looking
into Facebook tools, in particular ‘post reach’ and ‘post engagement’.
Basically, reach is
who is looking at your posts and engagement is who is interacting with them.
Reach is telling
you how well you are broadcasting your posts, who and how often people are
reading them… This is good, but not what
you want. You want engagement!
“Facebook
defines engagement as including all clicks, not only comments, likes and
shares”[1]
Why? Engagement is a better
predictor of who might later engage in a purchase… When they engage in your post, they are
interested beyond the mere glance… You
have caught their attention! The more
the engagement, the more likely they are to follow through with a purchase.

Part II
This information is very useful.
It can tell me what people are interested in , which posts appeal to my
fans. Through this I can keep doing what
works, or try different things, different approaches, different writing styles,
graphics, links etc…
My goal on FB will be to be involved with my fans. For my page, I will want to share articles on
tools, methods, fan models, links for models…
Seriously, there is so much out there.
I bet not one of you have heard of this before, other than origami or
simple figures. There are people out
there building paper models that take up whole rooms! This I believe will be what my fans will want
to engage in! And, if not, I can
use the data to find out what it is that they do want to engage in… Wow!
