Week 14 - More Social Strategy

- Which work best on a daily use pattern?

Simply posting on FB was the easiest and most effective.  Daily or mostly daily activity would bring people back.  However, I have been forgetting to place my calls to action in my posts.  I don’t want to do every post, but I would like say once or twice a week to place a ‘if you like what you see, like me’…   or something equally corny but effective.

- Which can you still use effectively on a much less frequent time schedule?

It is not only time, but money, which, would work out as time if you look at it right.  That would be paid advertising.  When I place an ad on FB I was pleasantly surprised about the response, the reach!  It was fun! Otherwise, it is just being there and being engaged with my audience…

  1. Hey! I'm curious as to why you only want to use Facebook. Are you uncomfortable with other platforms or think you don't want to spend time on them? I think Facebook is the best place to start, but it seems like for most businesses there are other tools that could really amp up your game from there and I wonder if you have a plan to branch out in the future if you add staff or gain familiarity with other tools or something. Either way, good luck to you!

    1. Hi! I forgot to mention Tumblr. Since my product is primarily visual and anything I may add will sell better using pictures, I will be using that forum as well. I just have not gotten over there to start using it.. I may actually drop Twitter as second to second updates don't fit my business... Anything I can do there I think I can do better on FB and I need that Twitter time for Tumblr.... Thank you for the input!

  2. I feel the same way about spreading out my 'calls to action' as to not be too pushy or manipulative. Perhaps only doing it when one wants to be really direct about something specific is a good way of doing it...

  3. Karl, what about YouTube. I saw a video on a baby who was filmed over the years grow up to a young teenager in a few minutes. Perhaps you can do that concept with your builds. Video from start to finish, edit out what you don't want and show the final project in one or two minutes. You can just position the camera on just your hands whipping about like a madman.

    1. Awesome Idea! I use photos now, but a time lapse video would be pretty cool... I wonder, can I put the pictures to video, make a time lapse out of them? I absolutely will look into that!
